Hi I'm Steve Lewis

I am a data expert with over 25 years previous experience in strategy and business development. I've worked for large organisations in both the private and the public sectors, SMEs and start-ups. Through analytics and Machine Learning I help organisations to make sense and get best use of their data. Given both my commercial and my technical experience, I can operate as an effective conduit between commercial and technical teams, helping organisations to plan, develop and realise the benefits of projects that utilise their data.

Analysis of Hotel Room Price Movements

An investigation for an online travel company into the movement of the price of hotel rooms as the booking date approaches the check-in date. To be used to determine if 'urgency messages' on the site might be effective in generating additional sales.

Predicting Customer Churn in Telecoms

Processed contract, customer and consumption data and trained classification models to enable a Telecoms Company to more accurately identify customers that are likely to churn.

Prediction Models for Used Car Values

Trained models to predict car values for a used car sales services so that customers could more accurately find out the market value of their cars.

Time Series Forecasting for a Taxi Company

Trained models with different hyperparameters to predict demand for airport taxis so that the company could ensure it had enough drivers during peak hours.

Sentiment Analysis of IMDB Movie Reviews

Developed a system for filtering and categorising movie reviews. Trained models to classify positive and negative reviews using a dataset of IMBD movie reviews with polarity labelling.

Identifying Patterns in Video Game Sales

Analysed data on worldwide video game sales to enable an online store to determine whether a new game will succeed or not and to plan advertising budgets accordingly.
